Elder Museum – Promoting science and tourism

IN JULY 2017, THE LOPESAN GROUP AND THE FUNDACIÓN MUSEO ELDER DE LA CIENCIA Y LA TECNOLOGÍA (ELDER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MUSEUM FOUNDATION) SIGNED A CO-OPERATION AGREEMENT TO HOST JOINT ACTIONS TO PROMOTE SCIENCE AND TOURISM.

Zoilo Alemán, director of ExpoMeloneras, and José Gilberto Moreno, director of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Elder Museum of Science and Technology, were responsible for signing this co-operation agreement that will enable visitors to the Museum, hotel guests of the Group and the resident population of the south of the island to benefit from the programme offered by these two centres.

ExpoMeloneras will also host a range of different Foundation activities to attract schools, and to bring Science and Technology to tourists and residents in the south of the island.

This new tie between ExpoMeloneras and Science and Technology will not only enrich the south with cultural activities; the hundreds of millions of tourists staying in the company’s hotels each year will also help to drive these tourists to visit the Museum on their trips to the island capital city.
