  • 2. Google Consent Mode (Advanced)

    Expomeloneras provides its users, through its cookie consent banner, with the ability to decide how third-party cookies are managed and used.

    This banner allows you to decide whether to accept the use of third-party cookies for Performance or Marketing purposes.

    Due to the obsolescence of third-party cookies, our website uses “Google Consent Mode V2.0 Advanced“. With this consent mode, users who accept Performance cookies in our banner consent to their information being collected for analysis and conversion measurement purposes in an encrypted form (“User-provided data”) (See point 3.1). On the other hand, for users who reject these cookies, the IP address is anonymised and only an anonymous ping is sent to Google Analytics (Point 3), without any identifiable information, for the purpose of data modelling and report optimisation.

    Users who accept Marketing cookies in our consent banner allow personalised ads to be shown to them and for some of their data to be shared in an encrypted form for remarketing purposes (See point 4.1), as well as to improve conversion measurement via “Enhanced Conversions” (See point 4.2). They also agree to be part of customer segmentation, the list of which is shared with Google Ads in an encrypted form (See point 4.4). If users do not give their consent, only an anonymous ping will be sent to Google Ads, without identifiable data, for data modelling and campaign optimisation.

    In Google Analytics and Google Ads, data is encrypted rather than stored in raw form. Therefore, anonymisation and the right to erasure do not affect the User Provided Data and Enhanced Conversions functions. The algorithm (SHA-256) ensures that the encrypted data cannot be reversed to its original form, thus maintaining the integrity, anonymity, and privacy of users.

  • 3. Google Analytics

    Our website uses Google Analytics; which is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (https://about.google/intl/en_uk/), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

    This platform collects data from users who visit our website. This data is used to generate reports with performance statistics that are useful for our company. Furthermore, this data is also used for advertising and marketing purposes.

This function uses a secure, one-way hashing algorithm called (SHA-256) to encrypt data before sending it to Google Analytics. The fundamental purpose of this functionality is to improve the accuracy of measurement data and optimise the enhanced functions of Google Analytics, without relying on third-party cookies, which are expected to be phased out in the future.

    The data that could be collected and shared is as follows: (email, telephone, first name, surname, street, city, region, country, or postcode).

    The collection of user-provided data will allow us to have a more complete view of measurement and attribute conversions more fully, as well as to link your encrypted data to identify interactions with Google Ads that might not be detected in the future without cookies or other user identifiers.

    If consent has not been granted in the cookie banner, this advanced option will only send an anonymous ping to the Google Analytics tool for the purpose of data modelling and report optimisation, and will not collect any encrypted data.

  • 4. Google Ads

    On our website, we use Google Ads, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, with its office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

    Google Ads is an online paid advertising tool that allows us to create ads and show them to users when they are actively searching for services like the ones we offer.

    4.1. Enhanced conversions

    Due to the obsolescence of third-party cookies, Expomeloneras has implemented the “Enhanced Conversions” function of Google Ads for its paid advertising campaigns. This function shares your encrypted personal data to ensure that ads reach the target audience and to measure the impact of campaigns on the platform more accurately.

    The data that could be collected and shared is as follows: (email, telephone, first name, surname, street, city, region, country, or postcode).

    Before sharing your data, it is encrypted with the (SHA-256) algorithm so that it can be matched with an existing customer database and to prevent its use for other purposes. This data will only be shared with Google Ads if you have accepted Marketing cookies. This consent will be transmitted to Google Ads via “Google Consent Mode (Advanced)” (See point 2).

    Only an anonymous ping will be sent to the Google Ads tool, without including any information that could identify the user, for those users who have not given their consent in the cookie banner. This is done for the purpose of modelling data and optimising paid campaigns (See point 2).

  • 5. Meta Ads

    We use Meta Ads as a paid advertising tool from Meta for advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Threads, among others.

    If you have given your consent for Marketing purposes in the cookie banner, our website will use the Meta Pixel, Meta Conversion API and the custom audience pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (Facebook)). These pixels automatically collect and store data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and information about the use of our website) based on specific events defined by us (such as visiting a website or registering for our newsletter). This data is used to generate performance reports for our campaigns and for marketing analysis.

    The use of the Meta Pixel and Conversion API is based on your consent, which can be revoked at any time via the cookie settings on our website.

    5.1. Advanced matching

    The Meta conversion tracking pixel tracks the actions of users who have given their consent to Marketing cookies in the cookie banner. This tracking occurs after users click on an ad and is used to optimise advertising campaigns on Meta, as well as for statistical purposes.

    As part of the so-called “Advanced Matching“, information is also collected and stored in a hashed format for matching purposes, with which individuals can be identified (for example, names, email, and telephone numbers). For this purpose, the Meta Pixel automatically sets a cookie when you visit our website, which allows for the automatic recognition of your browser when you visit other websites via a pseudonymous cookie identifier.

    Meta combines the information from the pixels or Conversion API with other data from the user’s Meta account to create reports on website activity and provide other services related to the use of the website. These services include personalised and specific group advertising. We have no control over the data processing performed by Meta; we only receive statistical data based on the Meta Pixels or Conversion API.

    The data that could be collected and shared is as follows: (email, telephone, first name, surname, street, city, region, country, or postcode).

    If you have not given your consent in the cookie banner, no identifiable user information will be sent to Meta Ads.

    Data processing by Meta is carried out within the framework of the Facebook Data Policy.

  • 6. LinkedIn Ads

    By giving your consent, our website will use the LinkedIn Ads Pixel which tracks user actions (such as page views or registrations) to optimise campaigns and generate statistical reports. The LinkedIn Insight Tag collects anonymous data about interactions (masked IP address, device and browser information, or conversion events).

    6.1. Advanced Matching

    The LinkedIn Ads conversion tracking pixel tracks the actions of users who have given their consent to Marketing cookies in the cookie banner.

    Only if the user has accepted Marketing cookies, encrypted data (using SHA-256 hash) such as email, first name, surname, country, or postcode is shared to improve targeting and conversion attribution.

    If the user does not accept Marketing cookies, no information is sent to LinkedIn Ads. No data is collected, nor are tracking technologies used.

    LinkedIn processes data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and under GDPR standards. The encrypted data (when shared) cannot be reverted to its original form, guaranteeing user privacy.
